How have I not reviewed this place yet?! Since moving to our house last July, this little take away has been our absolute haven. We really hoped we wouldn't love their offerings of fish and chips and Chinese as the proximity to our house makes it dangerous.. And that it is because it's delicious!! The staff are always really friendly and welcoming (probably because they're thinking ooh back again?!) and they even gave us a Chinese new year calender at Christmas (oh god we really are regulars). We're yet to find a dish on their extensive menu that we've not liked and everything tastes really fresh and has great flavour. The winner at the moment is the bbq spare ribs. Service is super speedy too. Collection or delivery. Cheesy fortune cookies. Check it out!

So finding a good fish and chip place near to my location has been a good thing, I know that this is listed as a Chinese restaurant but it is in fact a good take away. They are lovely and often throw in extra's if you visit regularly. I enjoy both the "English" menu and the Chinese, but as you can tell this is really my local for fish and chips.

Happy Garden Takeaway is the place to grab a takeaway if you have had a long day at work and feel like a bit of stodge. The Chinese dishes are very tasty, I suggest trying the satay chow mien which is a favourite of mine.
The fish & chips are also quality and also served in VERY generous helpings!
